Belonging to Salice's "F" series, this hinge combines a 40mm cup and a specially designed hinge arm to allow doors to "turn on themselves" with greater ease. This prevents any binding, even when the doors are spaced as closely as 3/32". Impressive, isn't it?

There's an additional advantage to using this particular hinge. When paired with the appropriate mounting plate (sold separately), you can increase the "tab distance" (the space between the hinge bore and the edge of the door) up to 7/16". This means that if your door has an edge profile, you don't need to worry about the hinge hole penetrating the face of the door.

This "full inset" hinge is an excellent choice when creating beaded inset cabinetry, where the carcass side is flush with the inside of the face frame.
