Salice Compact Soft Close Hinges 1-1/4 Overlay Pack of 10 with Screws and Bumpers

The hinge can be used for both new construction and retrofitting existing structures. For new construction, a 35mm cup, 11mm deep, and 2.5mm from the edge of the door should be drilled. The dimension picture K+ 2.5mm should be referred to for this.

For retrofit applications, if the existing Salice hinge mounts with one screw to the faceframe and is stamped '1-1/4"' on the arm, and the holes that mount to the door match the hole placement pictured, then the hinge can be easily swapped. However, if the existing Salice hinge has 2 screws that mount to the frame and is stamped '1-1/4"', then new holes will need to be drilled to mount the hinge to the frame.

This hinge can also be used to retrofit some other hinges, but the measurements must be verified to ensure compatibility.

Accurate measurements are critical, and the dimensions provided by the manufacturer are in metric. The first measurement that must be checked is the door overlay, which must be 1-1/4". This is calculated by subtracting the door width from the opening width and dividing the result by two.

The second measurement is the 35mm cup that must be drilled on the door. The distance from the edge of the door to the edge of the cup must be 2.5mm. If this distance is greater than 2.5mm, the door will rub on the frame as it is opened or closed.

The third measurement is the spacing between the hinge-to-door mounting screws, which must be 45mm center to center.

The fourth measurement is the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the screw mounting hole, which must be 29.5mm.

The SALICE Soft Close Hinge with Motion control switch features a 1-1/4" overlay. The dampening effect can be adjusted by setting the lever to low or high.

The hinge also offers six-way door adjustment: up, down, in, out, right, and left.

The package includes 10 CUP34D9 hinges, 10 #8 x 3/4" washer head screws, 20 #7 x 5/8" flat head screws, and 20 soft bumpers.
