Salice Compact Soft Close 1/2 Overlay Hinges (Pack of 10)

This hinge can be used for new construction or to retrofit current construction. For new construction, you need to drill a 35mm cup, 11mm deep, and 4mm tab from the edge of the door. In the Dimension picture, the measurement is K+ 4mm.

For Retrofit applications, if you have a Salice hinge that mounts with one screw to the face frame and is stamped 1/2" on the arm, and the holes that mount to the door match the hole placement pictured (there are some Salice hinges that have a different hole pattern in the door), you can use the same mounting holes to the frame.

If you have the Salice hinge with 2 screws that mount to the frame, it's stamped with an overlay. Select the same overlay, and you can swap them and use existing holes. This can be used to retrofit some other hinges, but you will have to verify some measurements to see if they will work.

Accurate measurements are critical, and dimensions from the manufacturer are metric. Measure the door overlay, measure your door, and then measure the opening it covers. Subtract the door width from the opening width and divide by two. The result is your overlay.

The second measurement on your door is that there needs to be a 35mm cup drilled for the hinge. Measure from the edge of your door to the edge of the cup, and it must be 2.5mm to 6mm. This distance affects the overlay for this hinge.

The third measurement is that the hinge-to-door mounting screws must be spaced 45mm center to center.
